A RARE Original 1953 photograph capturing Sir Edmund Hillary with Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer, Tenzing Norgay, the two men who became the 1st to summit Mount Everest. Here they are shown during that historic climb during the 1953 British Expedition on the Mountain. This is a RARE example from the London Times, the official photographers of the Expedition and was made off the original negative at the time the Expedition happened ! The reverse has the paper\'s credit stamp as well as caption and a date stamp. It remains one of the greatest and most celebrated conquest by man during the 20th Century.
