1953 Smith-Corona Sterling, series 5 in the classic Dark Brown with forrest green keys and light green accent keys. You either love this color scheme or you don\'t, but SC sure thought it was the bees knees. It grows on you. The typewriter works great and is in overall pretty fantastic cosmetic condition. Even the crinkle finish is still intact, and that often goes away with time and cleanings in these. Not this one. There are a few slight paint chips along the rim of the cover, I\'ve included a pic to highlight that, but you don\'t really see that unless you look down at the typewriter from overhead. All in all a good example of a series 5 machine, considered by many to be one of the finest mass produced portable manual typewriters ever made. A certain huge celebrity who collects typewriters calls it his fave, for what that\'s worth. I will say that this one just works very smoothly. The carriage, the escapement, the crisp bell, and the action of the keys. It’s dialed in sweet and I’m queasy selling it but I have too many others.
