With map of the Apa Tani Valley, and monochrome photographic plates.

Ursula Violet Graham Bower MBE (later known as U. V. G. Betts) (1914 – 1988), was one of the pioneer anthropologists in the Naga Hills between 1937–1946 and a guerrilla fighter against the Japanese in Burma from 1942-45.

CONDITION

In a cream cloth binding with unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, with just some minor shelfwear to the head and tail of the spine. Dustwrapper has a couple of chips and some small closed tears, but is otherwise smart. Internally, firmly bound. Bookplate to front pastedown, bearing the initials \"D.M.\". Pages are bright and clean. Overall: NEAR FINE with near fine dustwrapper.
