This is a BEAUTIFUL andoriginal 1954 RexMen\'s Ducal Badge from New Orleans Mardi Gras. The Krewe of Rex is one of the oldest Mardi Gras Krewes in New Orleans,having been organized in 1872. Rex still parades each year on Mardi Gras day and holds its annual ball Mardi Gras night culminating in the meeting of the courts with Comus.

This ducal badge has never been used -- and has onlybeen removed from the original velvety card for the purpose of these photographs. The clasp on the pin is in working order. The colors on the ribbon are clear and crisp, there is no tarnish or scratches.
