The General receives the condolences of François Boissière following the death of his brother Xavier:

Xavier de Gaulle, Charles\'s eldest brother, died on 9 February 1955 in Bordeaux. Resistant during World War II, he became Consul General of France in Switzerland. He married in second marriage, December 22, 1930, Armelle Chevallier-Chantepie who gave him two children.
