Here\'s the 1960 Krewe of Rex Gold Aluminum REPLICADoubloon (Issued in 1970). The doubloonmeasures 39 mm or 1 1/2\" in diameter andisinExcellentCondition. Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.Note: The obverse features Rex Logo. The reverse features the Rex Coat of Arms, the Mask of Comedy and an Artist\'s Palette andreads\"PRO BONO PUBLICO...NEW ORLEANS...MARDI GRAS.\" These doubloons were Sand Cast rather than struck like the Original 1960 Rex Doubloons were made. Molten Aluminum was poured into Sand Molds to create these doubloons. As the metal cooled, dimples in its surface were created by the individual grains of sand lining the inside of the mold, leaving the distinctive dimpling in the obverse and reverse surfaces of this replica.
