It was addressed to a collector in St. Catharines, Ontario. The cachet pictures \"John Hiner, extremely eccentric Columbiana Postmaster about 1840 through the Civil War, did not want to be \"bothered\" by people coming to his home for their mail, so he carried it to the villagers. When City Carriers started work in New York on July 1, 1861, Columbiana had enjoyed this service for 20 years.\" PMCC members may enjoy adding this convention cover to their collection.See the scan for condition.
