New York\'s most legendary club scene, and theatre publicist of the 1950s and 1960s, Ivan Black.This is a hand-written letter on Tribune de Geneve letterhead.Ms. DePury, who is nearly 80, wrote (with her collaborator Megan Terry) America\'s FIRST ROCK MUSICAL~ Viet Rock ~ she literally created the genre.
She is also known for another 1966 musical, America Hurrah.
But Viet Rock is clearly what American audiences perceive as de Pury\'s signature achievement. Viet Rock inspired the legendary rock musical HAIR, which was created by original Viet Rock cast-member Gerome Ragni.
