Elks Krewe organized in 1935 and is the oldest (and largest) of all the truck float krewes, a group of over 50 individually designed truck floats that parade following Rex down St. Charles Ave.! The krewe is sponsored by the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks! Saint Louis Basilica is in the French Quarter and was named a minor Basilica in 1964! The Elks Krewe depicted it on this 1966 doubloon coin! The aluminum doubloon measures 39 mm and weighs 4.5 grams! Use the pics as a guide to determine the condition of the token.
