This is an original press photo. Metairie sculptor Glade Beaver is half Creek Indian, and most of his works have Indian themes. The one pictured on the cover, \"End of the Trail,\" is an interpretation of the famous statue of the same name done by James Earle Fraser. Staff photographer G. E. Arnold got the \"rear screen effect\" by projecting a color transparency on a piece of opal glass behind the sculpture.
