Ansel Easton Adams was an American photographer andEnvironmentalist, considered by many to be the best known photographer inhistory. His black-and-white landscape photographs of the AmericanWest, especiallyYosemiteNational Park,have been widely reproduced on calendars, posters, and in books.Adamsfounded the Group f/64along with fellow photographers Willard Van Dyke and Edward Weston. With FredArcher,Adams developed the Zone System as a way todetermine proper exposure and adjust the contrast of the final print.
