Description

This is for a beautifully engraved Proof medallion to commemorate the United Nations\' peace keeping operations. Struck by the Franklin Mint in 1975 with a proof finish it is approximately 38mm in diameter, weighing approximately 25grams of solid sterling (.925 hallmarked) silver. It is complete with its original encapsulation and held in an envelope which is postmarked for New York with a first day issue stamp and the Certificate of Authenticity to the other side - there is also a leaflet detailing the United Nations stated commitment to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war.
