1976 MONTREAL OLYMPICS CANADIAN COIN PROOF SET, SERIES 1, GEOGRAPHY This lot will consist of one4-coin Proof Set of 1976 Canadian Olympic Series I (Geography) coins,unless you opt to increase the quantity. (Additional sets ship free.)

This is the first of seven sets to be minted under the authority of an act of the Canadian Parliament passed in July 1973 authorizing the issue of special commemorative Olympic Coins as legal tender of Canada.
Each set consists of 2 $5 and 2 $10 coins depicting Canadian sites and events associated with the Olympics. The obverse of each coin features Queen Elizabeth II. After the last series was issued, the set was closed forever. Each coin is enclosed in an original sealed plastic sleeve and mounted in a beautiful felt inlay inside an original Canadian white birch and steer hide display case.
Each set contains a total of 4.688 ozt of sterling silver.
Each set includes the original Certificate of Authenticity.
Each set comes in an original outer cardboard box that has kept the wooden cases looking like new.
The set pictured may not be the exact set you receive, but it is representative of the quality you can expect.
