1977 Franklin Mint "norman Rockwell" Thanksgiving Plate - Solid Sterling Silver For Sale

1977 Franklin Mint

Here is astunningand rare1977 Franklin Mint collectible solid sterling silver plate of Norman Rockwell's original work of art entitled "An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving" with its original paperwork. Designed by Norman Rockwell, the artist; and made by The Franklin Mint, Franklin Center, Pennsylvania. It is a limited edition,it is signed, numbered 352, and dated "Sep. 5, l977". This wonderful sterling plate comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, a booklet on Norman Rockwell, America's most beloved artist, a letter from the Franklin Mint, and two boxes (a silk-lined presentation box and a protective cover box). The plate is in mint condition, and has never been taken out of it's plastic shrink wrap. Theartwork is of a sweet looking mom holding a turkey platter with the turkey on it, and a young boy looking very happy around the corner. It looks socharming and inviting. The overall measurement of the plate is 8" wide and approx 1" deep. It has the shape of a pie plate(see pictures). The condition is excellent - never opened, sealed in silk-lined box with outter protective box. The presentation box measures 9-3/4" x 9-3/4" x 1-3/4". The outter box measures 10-1/4" x 10-1/4" x 2".The overall weight is 2-1/8 lbs including the boxes, according to our postage scale. The estimated value was $300.00according to the estate. It could be more. Our reserve is only $75.00. This fabulous sterling platecame from an estatein San Francisco, andis vintage.It hasa great look - verycharming and unique. A rare and wonderful find.
