1977 Silver Jubilee The Royal Beasts Medallion Collection - APPROXIMATE WEIGHT 490 grams
Set of ten sterling silver medallions issued by YM in 1977 for Queen Elizabeth II\'s Silver Jubilee, each marquise shaped ingot bears a different Royal Supporter.
Very appropriately for a silver jubilee, they are struck in silver.
Obverse
The obverse of each medallion shows a different Queen\'s Beast or Supporter, with no inscription.
Reverse
Each reverse shows the name of the respective beast in script, followed by:-

Edge
The edge bears a silver hallmark, with the sponsor\'s mark (initials) YM. This hallmark includes the special \"Silver Jubilee\" hallmark which was in use for the jubilee year only.
