Ok I am a little confused about this music box. First let me say that it is not chipped or cracked at all. The white spots in the pics are all just from the camera flash. Ok.....so I got this at an estate sale as pictured. The top figurine was not attached to the music base, however the old glue stuff was still in the box (see the yellow round thing in the pics). Anyway, the top is dated 1974, it is marked on the bottom and is called \"tally ho!\". T Royal Doulton Tableware LTD 1936\". Then the BOX is dated 1981! Sooooo I wondered if the top figurine did not go with the base, however I searched the internet and found two others with the exact same dates, top , bottom....and the top was detached (seems that is rather a common thing on these). Anyway, it is just adorable and you could probably warm the glue disc (it\'s soft) and stick the figurine back on the base. The base plays rock a bye baby and works great!
