This is a vintage 1982 original Wee Forest Folk figure created by Annette Peterson \"HOLLY MOUSE\" model M-087, in excellent condition. These figures are meticulously handcrafted and handpainted in incredible detail. This piece is has the factory date sticker on the bottom, and is initialed by artist Annette Peterson.
Created, produced and copyrighted by the Petersen family, it all began in Annette Petersen’s old-fashioned kitchen on a farm in Concord, Massachusetts - the birthplace of American Independence. Growing up near Central Park, Annette spent many hours in the Museum of Natural History, getting lost amongst the rooms and imagining life outside the hustle and bustle of New York City.2012 article - In one room, hands ply and mold bits of clay. This Wee Forest Folk piece is from a one owner non-smoking home. I am in the process of selling a large Wee Folk Collection (30 pieces total), consisting of many retired pieces, dating from 1979 to 1995.
