For your consideration is this 1983 1 Ounce Silver Mexico Libertad graded PR68 Ultra Cameo by NGC. First Year issue for Proof Libertad, from the 1982-83 Mexico Mint Set Box, where a Limited amount of only 998 of these coins were struck, which makes this incredibly rare and difficult to locate. 3rd lowest mintage figure, behind 1998 1 Oz Proof (500 struck), and 1999 1 Oz. (600 struck), the additional 1st year of issue makes this coin a 1-of-a-kind strike for those wishing to create a complete full date run of 1 Oz. Libertads. Many of these, sadly, have been melted over the years, or, turned into jewelery, making actual viable collector coins available in the \"extreme\" range. NGC Population is 11 coins in this grade, with 6 higher at PR69, and, a total of 38 coins in ALL grades.
With interest surging in Mexican Libertad Coinage(LOW mintages and beautiful coins from the America\'s Oldest Mint(1535), coins like this will certainly increase in value over time. Many coin collectors(as myself), have branched out, and away from strickly USA coinage, to World Coinage, with many having stunning designs and overall(compared to Silver Eagles, Maple Leafs, in the multi-Million mintage figures) low mint figures which add to long-term value. 2015 Proof Libertads may again be very low(we\'ll know later this year), and, most likely in THE HUNDREDS.(2014 Proof Libertads were, except for the 1/4 Oz,(350) finished at 250 coins struck...WHERE else can you find coinage like that?) No wonder the series is selling out as fast as they hit the market, coupled with a emerging Bullion BULL market, as many say..\"The Perfect Storm\" for savy investors right NOW.
