This is the Original Watercolor commissioned by the Reagan White House in 1985 for the Official Easter Egg Hunt and Roll and all other related materials (image also used for pins, bags to balloons etc).
This original master watercolor of Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald Duck, and Chip \'n\' Dale coloring Easter eggs was created by Disney artist, animator and Imagineer Bill Justice and published on the cover of the program for the 1985 Easter Egg Hunt and Roll held at the White House in 1985. It was also reproduced on associated materials including balloons, bags, and a pin. Mr. Justice was one of fifty American artists who designed and painted a commemorative egg for the event, and he also provided illustrations of Disney characters for the interior of the program book.
The art is shrinkwrapped to 12.25\" x 14.25\" thick rigid cardboard, and on the back is a color photocopy of the program book cover inscribed and signed by Mr. Justice to his friend Ed Levin, former owner of the Nickelodeon Shop in Sherman Oaks, California: \"Best Wishes to Ed / Bill Justice.\"
Bill Justice joined the Walt Disney Studio in 1937 as an in-betweener on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and by 1940 became an animator on the Pastoral Symphony segment of Fantasia. He animated on shorts and features throughout the 1940s and 1950s and from 1947 through the mid-1950s was the lead animator of Chip an\' Dale. He directed five of the studio\'s innovative cartoons released from 1956 to 1962 and was one of the studio specialists who produced the amazing stop-motion animation seen in Babes in Toyland (1961) and Mary Poppins (1964). In 1965 he joined WED Enterprises, later Walt Disney Imagineering, as a designer of attractions, parades, and other projects for the Disney theme parks. He retired in 1979 and was named a Disney Legend in 1996. In 2005 he received a window on Main Street, Disneyland, for his contributions to the Park. Mr. Justice passed away on February 10, 2011.
