Original cloth street banner from downtown Chicago, celebrating the city\'s 3rd annual celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 19, 1987. The event was commemorated by then Chicago Mayor Harold Washington, whose name is on the banner (no signature). The banner is in very good condition with little fraying on the edges. There are no marks or stains on the banner. There is a small hole at the very top of the banner where a mounting screw was used, otherwise there are no other holes or tears in the banner. The banner is roughly 2\' feet across and about 8\' feet in length.
