1988 Brown Bag Flowers & Berries & Retired Hartstone Stoneware Shortbread Molds:
$20.00

This offer is for two (2) vintage shortbread molds including one (1) 1988 Brown Bag Cookie Art Stoneware Shortbread \"Flowers & Berries\"design mold & Hartstone\'s classic \"Hearts & Tulips\" folk artmold. Both are in very nice & clean, pre-owned but practically new looking condition with no chips, nicks, cracks damage, though the back of the Brown Bag mold has a few light stains that I haven\'t been able to get out.
The designsfor these pans were inspired by antique American butter molds & plaques with beautiful detail! Unfortunately Hartstone no longermakes shortbread molds in that their pans seem to be preferred by so many companies in the Shortbread cottage industry.
Included are:
One (1) 1988 - \"Flowers & Berries\" Brown Bag mold - Makes nine (9) 2 3/8\" X 2 3/8\" square cookies with different designs on each. The panmeasures approximately 8 1/2\" X 10 3/4\" (handle to handle) X 3/4\" deep. Plus,
One (1) classic Hartstone Hearts & Tulips mold titled \"The Shortbread Mold\" - creates (8) triangular cookies measuring approximately 3\" X 3 3/4\" X3 3/4\". This is a deeper pan that measures approximately 9 5/8\" in diameter X 1\" deep from the inside base to the rim.
The boxes are missing but some wonderful recipes including gluten free, chocolate dipped, jam filled, painted shortbread and more can be found on Brown Bag\'s website.
Some helpful tips from their website include: 1) Bake the shortbread in the lower 1/3rd of your oven; 2) Allow it to cool 10 minutes beforeflipping the pan over to release it from the mold & 3) Slice the shortbread into serving pieces using a thin, sharp knife, while it is still hot. If youwait until it cools it will become flakey and too fragile to cut cleanly.
Another nice feature about these stoneware molds is that they are completely dishwasher safe, however, I would use a liquid detergent toavoid a film build-up.
Thank you for looking and please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. Happy baking!
