Believe this was sold as a replica of the bear Polar, the Titanic Bear as depicted in the book by the same name. The book is written by Daisy Corning Stone Spedden and notes that this is a true story. Will include a pristine copy of the book along with the bear. The bear measures approx 12 inches and is made of finest grade mohair by Steiff for FAO Schwarz. What a gift this would make! This item was removed from the box but never displayed of played with. It is in pristine condition and from a smoke free home.
