Up for sale is an antique Doulton & Watts Lambeth Pottery whiskey keg turned lamp. Keg is salt glazed stoneware in various shades of brown. It is decorated with 6 hoops and the British Coat of Arms at its center. The spigot or bung hole protrudes about 3/4 of an inch from the barrel. It accommodates two light bulbs controlled by separate 5 inch pull switches. It stands approximately 27 inches from the wooden base to the top of the finial and measures 9.25 inches across the base. The keg itself measures approximately 12.5 inches tall with a top diameter of 8.5 inches. Cord measures approximately 96 inches. Lamp is marked along the top, \'Doulton & Watts Lambeth Pottery London 2.\' According to the hallmark, piece dates from 1826 to 1854. It is in excellent condition for its age without any chips, cracks, or breaks. You may wish to have it rewired to meet current safety standards.
