take the time to look at item number 162142996538 , where a seller from the Ukraine is offering another example of this menorah at the price of $850. Notice how that menorah is 1) Missing the servant light 2) Is not nearly as old as my menorah, and it appears it has been \"played with\", to give it \"age\", notice how it was literally buried in dirt to be \"convincing\" as something made before WWII...

On to my menorah, which measures 5.25 inches high, and 6.1 inches wide. While examples of this menorah appear every now and then on the market, this is, by far, the nicest example I have ever seen, for these reasons: 1) The age. It has a completely natural, almost matte-finish, flat golden patina. It\'s the look of a very old piece of brass that was just lightly wiped with a little water, and has not been polished in many decades, or never polished at all. It is a lovely early casting, as can be determined by the detail, natural wear, and weight. 2) It still has the servant light! Truly a cause for celebration!

This is an early 19th century made piece. Possibly very late 18th century, but to be safe I would date it smack on 1830. It\'s a knockout, and the best example you will ever see of this type, at a great price.
