Offered here for your consideration is a Meiji Japanese Cloisonne vase with a falcon. It appears to have silver wire in the decoration. The work seems to be in the style of Kumeno Teitaro. It dates to the late 19th or early 20th century.
The vase is in overall fair, as-pictured used estate condition with a partial repair (circa 1 1/2 in. x 3/4 in.) to a chip on the reverse, another small chip above that, several light scratches, a few tiny flakes and open bubbles to the surface, fineand light surface scratches and scuffing here and there, and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
