This is an HISTORICMUSEUM QUALITYFIND of a circa 19thcenturylatge Chinese Porcelain OVOID form Vase of 5Scholars or Sageslooking like they are discussing TAIJITU - Taosim Portal - YIN and YANG on a scroll while the back and neck of the vase has what looks like a poem in calligraphy applied Foo-Dog and ring on sides.
The TAIJITU symbol is in its TRUE FORM with the RED spiral on the TOP as such that the dividing line is in a backwards S shape for the TRUE \"YIN - YANG\" opposition!
The large vase is 23\" (58cm) tall executed in a famille rose pallete.
The old vase is has anOLD hairline crack at its rim\'s interiorand there is an attempt to cover it up with over-painting on its exterior - please see the pictures. Other than the hairline crack in the rim, there is no other damage to the vase.
Pleaseuse all the pictures as a major portion of the description as this is my first general introduction to oriental vases. So please ask all pertinent questions before offerding as I am selling as is.
