Wonderful antique primitive hand thrown dark brown maganese and lead glazed red ware pottery utilitarian cylindrical storage jar with everted lip and basal skirt believed to date back to the first half of the 19th Century likely of Eastern U.S. origin Pennsylvania, Maryland or Virginia.
SIZE: 4 1/2\" Tall -- Lip Diameter 3\" -- Skirt Base Diameter 4\"
CONDITION: Good to very good condition with minor age appropriate glaze wear, surface scratches, glaze flakes (some of which are under the lead glaze), and only a few very small bites to the skirt edges. No chips or cracks found by this seller.
