Display here is a Pair of ContinentalFrench Louis XVI Cane fauteuil’s, dated late 19th to early 20thCentury. Circular Rosette Reef crest continuing with square cane and medallion upholsteredback flanked with acorn finals, so unique in design and one of kind style andrare find. Sloping downward armrest with serpentine acanthus bead carving, verydecorative carving throughout the entire frames. Double caned side panels heldby inverted C scrolls and pierce open acanthus C scroll fretwork on sides andback, absolutely stunning surely conversational pieces. Original muted patinawhich is desirable with age, muslin cotton bench seating, held by acanthustapered fluted legs with decorative chip detail on the apron.
