19th Century CHELSEA Derby Samson ROCOCO PORCELAIN FIGURINES SHEPHERDS :

Rococo Baroque Style Antique figurines, sold as a pair. Musicians with a Clarinet and a Lute. Also could be a Shepherd & Shepherdess, he with his dog and she with her sheep. I would guess these are probably from 1875-1900 period. Although they could be much earlier. I know the gold anchor Chelsea mark was used from 1756-1769, and was the most forged mark. I have seen a mark with this S type going through that was considered Chelsea. There are other marks with the S figure, but they seem to be going the other way, and contributed to other markers. I just do not know or have I been able to find out who for sure who made these. There are parts of them that look like so many different makers combined. If anyone has information or guesses, please inform me. I am selling them as just a pair of unknown figurines.I put in pictures of the underneath bases for you to view, as they seem very old and these seem to be hard paste porcelain. I cannot find any other marks. These just both have a gold anchor mark with an S hand painted in gold on their backs. Please check out the pictures well for damages. I will list what I can see. Most areas with damage have had some kind of touch up restoration in the past.On the Lady: 2 broke off flowers & 1 pedal end. 2 broke off leaves & 2 tips. The end of her lute has been broken & re-glued also the end may have been longer with more to it.
On the Man: 1 broke off flower. 4 broke off leaves & 3 broke off tips. I also think the short dogs leg was broken off.
Woman is 7 3/4\" tall, the base is 4 1/2\" x 3 3/4\".
Man is 8 1/4\" tall, the base is 4 1/2\" x 3 3/4\".These will be sent fully insured and packaged very carefully.
