or while studying the gemara page in the cheder , which is the jewish class room for teaching torah .
this amazing carving is all hand carved and signed on the back and with initials in the front.
the quality is just amazing , this piece should dates to the 19th century .
the carving is very deep as you can see in the photos , the figures are 3D .
this plaque is held in its original period frame .
