The shaft is made from palm wood with a round rectangular-section handle wrapped in fibre matting. The upper portion is rectangular/ovoid cross-section with the teeth drilled and fixed with coir sennit and hair and set into wooden spines. The species of teeth are either from the (Carcharhinus albimarginatus), (Carcharhinus sorrah) or (Carcharhinus obscurus). reference for the study.
