A mid 19th-century (1858)Imperial Russian solid silver & niello antique snuff box.

The entire box is decorated in highly detailed niello patterns, with the front and back covers featuring city views.

It is hallmarked internally both on the lid and the box. Made byT. Borkov, Moscow in 1858.

Very good condition without damage, hinges and lid work fine. Heavy gauge item having a sturdy and quality feel to it.

The box is free of any monogram or crest, and no erasure.
