~ Antique Shaker Leather Sewing Roll Up Needle Case ~ AAFA

Lovely Victorian deep cocoa-colored leather sewing roll-up

lined in a vibrant golden colored silk,

and edged with a cocoa colored silk binding trim.

The case has a bottom roll with 4 spools of thread and a thimble.

The interior has 1 layer of wool for holding needles, and one

wool panel that is hand embroidered golden colored thread.

Case includes 2 bone tools, 4 spools of thread, and a brass thimble, (missing scissors).

It measures 5\" inches in length when open and 6.75\" wide.

There is no indication that there was an \"attached\" silk tie at the center top.

Circa: 1880

Condition:

GOOD / AS-IS

Wear appropriate to age and use, with several blemishes to exterior leather.

Binding trim overall in good condition with no deterioration to edges.

Interior condition is very good.

Interior wool has no holes, but there is a small blemish to lower right of scissor holder.

Outside end roll \"tie\" is short, probably with loss to length over time.

Please look at photos closely before purchasing.

No repairs or alterations.
