Unique 19th Cen- Very Early 1900\'s A Pair of Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Geese Duck Birds

Large Figures / Statues- Male and Female, fromLate Qing Dynasty

Acquired from San Francisco Arts Of Asia Gallery and came with original Paperwork

Each cloisonne bird consists of two partsand could be opened, pic.12.

Both cloisonne birds have blue cloisonné enamelinterior and could be used either as a sculptures as well as

magnificent jewelry boxes or containers...just gorgeous and really unique find!

Both cloisonne birds have brass/bronze beak, strong brass/bronze feet with age patina.

Each cloisonne bird has it\'s own original hand carved wooden base with deeps modeled for legs.

Madein avibrant palette of a vibrant blue / turquoise blue, cobalt blue, yellow, green, brown,burgundy, black &white cloisonné enamel

- amazing craftsmanship and artistry!

The pieces came with original paperwork from San Francisco Arts Of Asia Gallery (branch in Portland, Oregon) from 1/31/87 with paid $595.40.

Retails today: $3500 ++.

Dated most likely back to the late Qing Dynasty,late 19th Century- very early 1900\'s, probably earlier...

Measurements approximately:
Male: 9 3/4\" tall with the base

8 1/4\" long from tip of the beak to the tip of the tail
3 1/2 wide
Base: 7\" x 4 5/8\"
Wight: 2 lbs I oz

Condition:signs ofpatina on the brass/bronze legs and beak.
slight expected darkness and very slight wear in a few areasto the cloisonné enamel with no any damage:
no repairs, no dents, no breaks, no missing enamel, no chips or cracks or any other damage, the colors are vivid,
bright and fresh....really rare excellent condition for so old items..

Came from a very famous wealthy San Francisco estate collection of Asian Antiques and was kept very carefully
for many decades on display under glass only.

We did not try to polish or clean patinated brass/bronze legs and beak.
