INCREDIBLY PRICED!!!!! We are pleased to offer this fabulous, old credenza. This is a gorgeous cabinet with French, Louis XV style. The credenza features a combination of Rosewood and Mahogany veneer with an abundance of intricate, inlaid patterns. The veneer hasrich and vibrant colors. The cabinet is also heavily adorned with bronze mounts. There are two busts of a female figure, one on each side of the cabinet front. Each bust is supportedby an inlaid,striped column and finished withCorinthian style, bronze bases. There are large, square, bronze floral medallionsthat adorn the cabinet. Bronze trim is applied around theperimeter on the upper section. It is also present on theperimeter of the base. The bun feethave bronze rings that encircle their mid sections.The cabinet has an upper, largesingle drawer and a largeinterior lower storage. The storage area has a single shelf.The drawer and the shelf are Rosewood. The door has metal dowels that hold it in place and allow it to swing open. These are not originaland are from the 20th century. The cabinet exteriorhas intricate inlaiddesigns on each side panel, on the sides of the front of the cabinet, and on the front of the cabinet door. The top of the cabinet has a beautiful piece of black marble which has been cut to match the geometric shape of the cabinet top. The marble has white veins as well as few red veins.

This is a very old piece.Itconsists of 3 sections (not including the marble).Both the top and the plinthconnect to the center of the cabinet via crudely cut wooden dowels. There are no screws. There are more modern metal supports that have been added at some point. The back of the cabinet features hand chiseled dovetail joints, as does thedrawer. The cabinet has bronze/brass door and drawer pulls that may not be original. This is a gorgeous cabinetof some antiquity. It is in good condition for its age. The bronze mounts are all in place with no missing pieces. The veneer is tight withno significant bubbling (as is commonin older pieces). The cabinet does have some minor gapsin the doweled sections (in between the center cabinet and the top and bottom). This can probably be corrected withgentle pressure. The marble is good with very minor chippingon the beveled edge in just a couple of areas. These are very hard to discern and are not distracting. Because of the age, the cabinet has undergone normal settling. The drawersticks a little when youpull it out but it does open fully.

The cabinet measures 45\" tall without the marble top and 46\" with the marble in place. It is 37\" wide at the base and 39\" wide at the marble top. The cabinet measures 18\"front to back, 19\" with the marble measurement included. The drawer has an interior measurement of 27\" wide, 12\" deep and 4\" tall. The drawer face is 28\" wide and 5\" tall. The interior cabinet measures 31.5\" wide, 26.5\" tall and 14\" deep. The shelf runs the width of the space and is centered in the space.
