Look at this delightful American coin silver twin-bladed pocket knife, made by an unknown silversmith in the second half of the 19thC. The hand chased case, decorated with a rococo pattern of leaves and borders, has two blades: one, for sharpening your writing quill, eating fruit, and the other, a spike for removing stones from horses\' hooves. The knife blade is marked \"Coin\" on one side and with a number 6 on the reverse. Both blades open securely with no wobble to the hinge. This rare and unusual item remains ingood vintage condition, with surface wear consistent with age and prior use (see condition report), and bears a script engraved name \"Mary\" to the cartouche on one side of the case, while the cartouche on the other side remaining unengraved.
