1850/71 Pattern Austrian Naval Officers Sword

This is an Outstanding Post Civil War era (Ca. 1871) Austrian Naval Officers Sword featuring some of the most Impressive Nautical Content that we have ever seen on a Naval Sword. This beauty features a Pommel cap and back strap with the Bust of King Neptune along with his Trident and the Reticulated Basket features a Double Eagle Crest with two Beautiful Mermaids flanking either side and an Anchor on the belt loop strap. The only difference between this Beauty and a Civil War era Model is the fixed loop on the Scabbard. The ricasso is marked though its difficult to see, otherwise there do not appear to be any other markings. This sword is Fresh from a New Jersey Collection and would easily be the pinnacle of any Collection and is a Pleasure to Own & Display. Even if your not big on Naval Swords, one has to admit that this Sword is Truly a Work of Art. The original leather Scabbard is also in Nice Solid Condition & Displays very well.
