This is a very unique late 19th century Victorian era morning portrait of a beautiful young lady dressed in black. Sadly she has been poorly restored and has wear to the paint as well as repairs. She looks to have been relined with wax on to a newer canvas backing many years ago and the Aged paint as well as the poor restoration has left this beautiful young lady with quite a Ghostly feel. Overall an impressive mid-nineteenth Century portrait that would still be a welcomed addition to any period Estate. 21 by 31 in.
