Approx. 9 1/2\" wide across handle mounts x 8 1/2\" x approx. 6\" tall.
8 1/2\" tall with handle held upright.

DESCRIPTION:
Large antique hand / foot warmer.
Brass or bronze. Square 4-lobed form. Heavy, bamboo-form bail handle. Cicada-form handle mounts with copper eye detail. The handle and its mounts are secured with pins. Hand repousse and chased decoration all sides. Elaborately pierced lid that fits perfectly regardless of orientation. Entirely hand crafted. Very high quality.

I recently acquired this warmer from the estate of a woman whose mother visited China in the early 20th century and brought it back with her.
CONDITION:
There is a very old professional repair: brass patches were soldered to the bottom of the warmer at all 4 corners. These patches match each other so well and are so skillfully incorporated into the general design that at first glance they appear to be feet or feet-type elements original to the warmer. When you inspect the interior you see they were applied to cover/seal use-related wear holes on the bottom of the burner at one or more corners. Although beautifully executed these patches were clearly designed to keep the warmer functional and in service and not merely as cosmetic restoration. Consult photos.
There is a small slight seam separation between one of these patches and the side of warmer -- when you hold the warmer to the light and look inside a curved sliver of light approx. 1/2\" long shows through at this corner. This is not conspicuous. Consult photos.
Otherwise the warmer is in excellent original condition with no damages and no significant wear.
No other repairs or restorations. No other holes / separations / wear-through. No bends, breaks, cracks, splits. No dents. No significant dings. No significant scratches or rubs.
No signs of abuse.
The handle swings freely with no binding. There is no looseness or other issues with the pins that secure the bail handle to its mounts or the mounts to the body of the warmer.
The warmer is generally clean as found with old patina as found. This warmer was obviously polished at some point long ago and there is some residue of paste polish in the recesses which I did not attempt to remove. This is not terribly conspicuous. I did not not soak or otherwise clean the warmer in any way.
Some typical minor handling- / use-related wear: scattered small rubs and scratches. Nothing at all significant or conspicuous.
