The piece has a fret carved walnut veneered frame with a truly magnificent 18th Century style oil portrait painting within the upper gilt surrounded section, and above this is a magnificent gilt carved Knights helmet with an outstanding carved Prince of Wales feather above.
The piece has a superb patination and isembellishedin a gilt gadrooned boarder.
This is a 19th Century example in themannerof a far earlier George I / George II piece which would cost over £9000!
Only a highly skilled Antiques expert would be able to date the piece to the correct age of Circa 1820\'s as it has all of the identical superb quality features of a piece which dates to Circa 1750.
The Oil portrait painting has had restoration in the past and the Glass mirror plate has agedimperfections, which all adds to the charm,characterandauthenticityof the piece.
