- DESIGN: A well preserved set of 1st & 2nd edition Herman Miller Collection Furniture Catalogs featuring the earliest iconic designs by Charles Eames, George Nelson, Isamu Noguchi, Paul Laszlo circa 1949 / 1952. The first edition showcases the iconic first production designs of Eames, Nelson, Laszlo and Noguchi with 64 pages of brilliant images. The second edition contains the same first edition content but expands on the collections with 116 pages that elaborates on the works of George Nelson Home furnishings and Charles Eames / Chairs and Storage Unit Collections. Photos show just a brief example of the imagery contained within both editions top & bottom These highly sought after early Herman Miller catalogs are both in complete excellent unmolested condition exhibiting only normal signs of material aging typical of bound publications 65 years old, they are as follows:
- 1949 1st edition (White linen cover) - tanning and light soiling of linen cover, loose spline, slightly frayed / bumped corners, pen/pencil inscription to fly sheet, faint toning to fly sheets.
- 1952 2nd edition (Black linen cover) - light fading on linen cover top, tight spline with only title spread split, no frayed or bumped corners, very faint toning to fly sheets.
- DIMENSIONS: Both catalogs are identical in size @ 8.875\" x 11.25\" - 1st edition (white) is 64 pages and 2nd edition (black) is 116 pages.
