The Silver Canadian Wildlife Series

The Silver Canadian Wildlife series had its official launch on September 9th 2010 by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM), the Mint\'s Ottawa facility will produce one million silver bullion coins for each different coin released, and will showcase a distinct Canadian wildlife theme. The Wildlife Canadian Silver coin program is in its second year of production. Each year, the Royal Canadian Mint will release two annual issues from this highly anticipated series through 2013. A total of six different species will be represented in these finely crafted bullion coins that are struck of the same pure silver as the mint\'s world famous Silver Maple Leaf bullion coins.

Product Description

The Royal Canadian Mint has just released the fourth coin in its Canadian Wildlife series of silver bullion coins, Cougar 2012).

The obverse of each coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created in 2003 by Canadian portrait artist Susanna Blunt. Struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver, this coin bears face value of $5 and is part of an extremely limited mintage.

The Royal Canadian Mint is exclusively responsible for the production and distribution of these coins and has placed a strict, low mintage on them. The demand for these pure silver coins has been unprecedented in Europe and the rest of the world. If previous issues of this coin series are any indication, the Silver Canadian Cougar will sell out very fast, making your ownership of one (or more) even more impressive.
