Both are High Gloss!
The Western Pony was introduced in 1953 and has never had any mold marks. The mold has a molded-on bridle and breastcollar with gold metal chain reins, comes with a removable plastic Western saddle and stands about 7 1/2 \" high. The Western Pony differs from the Western Horse in size, in browband (three studs on each side for the Horse versus four for the Pony), and in that the Horses\' mane covers the breastcollar just above the shoulder on the near side while the Ponys reveals a small part of it.The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess, adapted from Hartland\'s Small Champ, which was sculpted by Roger Williams. It is Breyer mold #45.
