Click to View Image Album This is two very rare and outstanding antique Rococo Irish Chippendale highly carved chairs made from rosewood and dates from the early to mid 1800s Amazing detail with faces on the skirt and legs, large claw feet, large eagle heads with open beak on top and very detailed eagle leg and claw on back rest. Also has a flower design and grapes. I have had several antique dealers look at the chairs and all agree they are early to mid 1800s. Without a tag i can not say for sure Very solid with a few stress cracks from age as pictures will show. The seats have the burlap strapping and in very good condition. Arm chair measures 39 1/2\" tall, 26\" wide arm to arm, 24\" deep and 19\" from the floor to seat. Side chair is 39 1/2\" tall, 24\" wide and 22\" deep and they have nice wide seats.
