The late 19th and early 20th Century produced metal objects that have survived over 100 years and these mats are some of the survivors. They are 24 1/2\" x 17 1/2\" and were made identically as part of the designs and production from the \"Acme Steel Goods Co. Chicago Pat. July 12 1904.\" One has some damage and the other one is complete and functioning as intended, though a little stiff on one edge. Lubrication will help as well as a little action with a brush if desired.
