Beautiful pair German SchnapsBitter (ARO) bottles. 1x aqua + 1x olive green colored, embossed label “TH.LAPPE´SAROMATIQUE FEINSTER MAGENLIQUEUR TH. LAPPE NEUDIETENDORF THÜRINGEN “,on the top4 shamrock embossed, many air bubbles inside , Height approx 6.9 inches (17,5 cm).

Blown in the mold, 19th Century, Glass from the Thuringian Forest,unique rare, very rare and sought among bottle collectors! Very nice collectorcondition, verybeautiful colors,bold embossing,wonderful - see pictures!

Information about LAPPE bitter / History:

The Neudietendorf AROMATIQUE digestive bitter has beenin existence since 1828.

According to legendit started out as a medicine.

When at the beginning of the 19th century an epidemicbroke out,Theodor Lappe to develop the makeshift medicine into a spirit andfrom 1828 .

After the epidemic had ended demand for this\"tincture\" continued unabated, encouraging the succeeding chemist,Theodore Lappe produced an alcohol-based remedy using natural substances knownsince time immemorial for their healing effect on the stomach and bowels.

In the following years a number of other spirits firmswere founded which made so Aromatique. Slight changes to the basic recipecaused a difference in flavour, and further distinctions were achieved byprefixing the name of the firms founders or owners, eg Lappe\'sAromatique/Schultz-Aromatique. Lappe\'s Aromatique is the original Genuine.
