This is a pair of AntiqueArt Nouveau Vases from Wurttembergische Metalfabrik (WMF) in Germany. These beautiful vases are made of Britannia Metal base, and are heavily plated with silver. The detail of workmanship in this vases is amazing.Each of these vases weigh approximately 3 pounds and stand 11.5inches tall.
Hallmarks on bottom indicate the following:B:Britannia Metal BaseI/O: Normal Silver CoatingOX: Oxidized FinishWMF-G:Wurttembergische MetalfabrikGeislingen, production about 1900-1908.
NOTE: There are no breaks or repairs on these pieces. The shiny parts you see are places where the patina has not formed yet.These vases have not been polished in a very long time. I personally like to keepthe oxidized (OX hallmark) finish in place because it protectsthe piece.
