Extremely rare2 Georgian Berry Spoons made in approx 1794 by George Smith III & William Fearn.
Spoons measure approx 8.5\" long. Spoon part itself is 1.75\" x 3\" long.Weight: 72 grams (2.5 ounces) each.
Handle features two snakes intertwined over another animal (see photo).
Hallmark on back of both: GS over WF into a square with a lowercase letter \'t\' and a torso and what looks like a shield.Matches the mark on silvercollection.it for 1794, so that\'s how I\'m dating it.There is also a small \'v\' stamp on one of them.See photos.
Old spoons have been in our family for at least 3 generations.
