2 Pairs Antique Victorian Silver Plated Sugar Tongs One Patterned OSP Early 19thC DescriptionHere we have twolovely items of Victorian antique flatware, twopairs ofsilver plated sugar tongs. One has an engraved type decoration that is normally referred to as bright cut, but in this instance the decoration is stamped.The bowls on the stamped one are pointed, and the other is rounded. They mayhave been made from old Sheffield plate and date to the mid 19th Century.The tongs areapproximately 5 1/4inches long with a depth of 1/2inches and 1 1/4wide.They weigh together a total of 37grammes unpacked.This is a most attractive pair and useful items for display anduse.
