This sale is for two lovely antique vases from the Royal Doulton pottery company of Lambeth, England. The two pieces are part of the company’s “stoneware” line, which features earthenware bodies that have been left brown with glazed colourful decorations. These two pieces have brown ribbed bodies. The collars are highly glazed and were decorated with stylized moulded flowers. One vase has a cobalt blue collar; the other is a brownish green. The number for the vases is “7341.”
The two pieces reflect the Arts & Crafts movement that was popular in England and elsewhere in the early 1900s.
Each vase is approximately 6 inches high.
They have the impressed marks as shown.
The two pieces are in gently used condition with no chips, cracks, or discernable crazing. As is standard with china and porcelain pieces, there may be pieces of ash or debris caught under the glaze.
